- The Assistant Manager will undertake the responsibility of aiding the General Manager with support to ensure the development and implementation of our store’s retail activities and be co-responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the retail space including staff, customer service, and sales merchandising.
- The Assistant Manager will work with front line staff members to delegate work tasks, engage with customers to identify their needs, answer questions about products and services while also recommending solutions.
- The Assistant Manager will inspire, guide, and work alongside their team to carry out the CMCC mission while also maintaining a high standard of communication with staff members, customers, and other Managers.
- Utilize in-store management initiatives to support store staff and General Management needs for the below-described items
- Direct and coach staff on a regular basis to ensure the company's excellence in sales & service
- Promote a culture of teamwork by working alongside staff, establishing priorities, and providing clear direction to all staff members
- Offer guidance and inspire staff to deliver the highest level of customer service
- Review and assist the Inventory Manager and General Manager in receiving all deliveries with diligence and accuracy in accordance with company standards and state regulations
- Assist the General Manager in conducting periodic performance reviews of employees and other staff leadership.
- Assist with the cash audit process on a daily basis, including but not limited to counting down drawers to prepare for the oncoming shift, “closing” shifts in the POS, depositing cash drops, and “buying” change from the vault when necessary.
- Assist General Manager with employee scheduling and oversee attendance.
- Track employee disciplinary actions including marks against attendance, drawer and inventory discrepancies, etc., in employee files.
- Assist with new employee onboarding and training in the relevant standard operating procedures, according to the Training Binder.
- Assist in conducting nightly and weekly inventory audits at the direction of the Inventory Manager to ensure there is no diversion of inventory. Investigate and report discrepancies to the Inventory Manager, Compliance Manager, and General Manager.
- Maintain a strong, professional, and communicative relationship with all staff
- Other duties may be assigned, as needed or warranted, by upper management
