CMX Cinemas Village seeks a Theatre Manager with a "People First" leadership style to join our winning team in providing the ULTIMATE movie going experience to our community!

About CMX Cinemas:

CMX Cinemas premiered in April 2017, offering guests an innovative VIP movie-going experience. Since that time, CMX has grown organically and through acquisition, notably acquiring Cobb Theatres and CinéBistro locations. At 29 locations across the country, CMX continues to grow as we proudly promote a people-driven culture, investing significantly in the development of our teams, providing high achievers with many opportunities to grow professionally.

About CMX Cinemas Village:

Located in Leesburg, VA, CMX Cinemas Village 14 (formerly Cobb Theaters) offers the best in amenities and the newest technology for the ultimate movie-going experience. This location has 14 auditoriums with reserved recliner seats, 100% Digital projection and sound with 3D capabilities, and a select auditorium equipped with D-BOX seats that sync to the action of the movie.

In addition, CMX Village 14 offers its guests a full Kitchen & Bar where you can enjoy a chef-inspired gourmet snack or meal with beer, wine, or cocktails before, during and after the show. The multi-functional theater is also available to rent for movie screenings, birthday parties, corporate events and all kinds of celebrations.

Job Requirements:

  • Management or supervisory experience in the theater, retail, hospitality, or restaurant industries; high volume experience preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge & experience in the following areas: building, coaching, and developing a team
  • Hands-on leadership style
  • Coaching and corrective action
  • Understanding and skillful with: guest services & problem-solving
  • Business Development - Driving/attracting business
  • P&L impact - Cost controls, quality standards
  • Teamwork
  • Building relationships with staff, superiors, and guests
  • Passion for and commitment to the theater/restaurant industry
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and approach to thinking required to lead an emerging concept/brand (i.e. sees big picture, embraces critical thinking, quest for continuous improvement, innovative)
  • Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them, even when there isn't a clear precedent or direction
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate directions and expectations to staff and management and has the sincere desire to build, coach, and develop successful teams
  • Commitment to fostering an environment of superior guest service and quality; ability to successfully resolve guest service issues
  • Basic technical aptitude and computer literacy to include the ability to operate point-of-sale software, scheduling software, MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday
  • Interest in future Assistant Manager or Assistant General Manager positions and ability to relocate as needed for upward mobility strongly preferred
