What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lending Assistant position at CNB Bank & Trust?
Primary Functions:
Provide support to the Commercial Loan Officers with regards to relationship management, to include acting as a main point of contact, along with the Commercial Loan Officer, for commercial relationships. Expected to have an advanced and thorough understanding of the functional area so that they may operate competently in this area by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Very effectively perform full range of duties pertaining to the loan processing/closing/servicing function including, but not limited to, the following: pull system inquiries to obtain credit history information on potential borrowers, answer customer inquiries. Review files to ensure that proper documents and disbursements are prepared accurately for loan officer performing the closing. Obtain pay-off information as necessary. Review files after closing to ensure that all documents signed and checks disbursed.
- Process loan payments and determine appropriate application of those payments.
- Prepare and forward lien requests to Recorder; prepare release.
- Assist Loan Officer in the underwriting process as needed including running credit reports and updating loan write ups and attachments.
Update Loan Officer's reports and various monthly monitoring of assigned accounts
Order and track receipt of documents necessary for loan closing such as, but not limited to, appraisals, flood determination, title/legal work, etc.
- Prepare line of credit advances
- Answer customers’ inquiries pertaining to the loan servicing function
- Request annual financial reports from customers
- Other duties as requested by Supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED plus additional bank-related training and 5 to 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Schedule:
This full-time position will be scheduled for approx. 37-40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday.
