Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Construction Superintendent to lead and manage construction projects in the central Arkansas location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, an understanding of the water and sewer pipeline industry, and a thorough understanding of construction methods and multiple related industries.
Responsibilities
- Leadership role to build and manage construction teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all members.
- Oversee daily operations on the job site, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Utilize Stack or Trimble for project documentation, including plans, specifications, and revisions.
- Document daily production and field notes thoroughly for records with ExakTime and professional log.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of mathematics and conduct checks with basic surveying equipment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Read and interpret plans and specifications to guide construction activities accurately.
- Supervise subcontractors and material suppliers, providing direction and support as necessary including assist with unloading material for specific sites with heavy equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the municipal/private water/sewer pipeline construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Adobe, Stack, ExakTime, and Microsoft Project, Excel, Word is preferred.
- Excellent plan reading skills with the ability to interpret specifications effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment.
