Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing teams, facilitating meetings, and implementing projects effectively. This role requires a strategic thinker who can gather requirements, model business processes, and utilize project management tools to ensure project goals are met on time and within scope.
Duties
- Lead project teams by providing direction, support, and schedule to achieve project objectives.
- Manage the full project lifecycle including understanding of strategic planning, estimating, production and payment management, coordination and communication.
- Facilitate meetings with owners, engineers, suppliers, general contractors and subcontractors to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Implement effective project management methodologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Utilize tools such as Adobe, Stack, ExakTime, Microsoft Project, Excel and Word for tracking progress and managing resources.
- Conduct data analysis to inform decision-making and improve project outcomes.
- Collaborate with other teams including owners, engineers, suppliers, general contractors and subcontractors after the bidding phase to ensure successful delivery of projects.
- Model business processes to identify areas for improvement and streamline operations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar leadership role within the municipal/private water/sewer pipeline construction industry.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of mathematics and conduct checks with basic surveying equipment and Trimble.
- Proficient in project implementation techniques and methodologies.
- Excellent skills in requirements gathering and meeting facilitation.
- Familiarity with business process modeling practices.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Project for project management tasks.
- Strong data analysis skills to support project decisions.
- Knowledge or experience with underground heavy civil construction is preferred.
