Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance nursing practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate medical records.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training for nursing staff.
• Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
• Oversee patient admission, discharge processes, and care transitions.
• Facilitate effective communication between patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Utilize electronic health record systems such as Cerner and eClinicalWorks for documentation and data management.

Experience

• Proven experience in a nursing management role or similar leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of medical records management and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with specimen collection processing.
• Ability to phlebotomize when necessary, with an understanding of physiology knowledge related to patient care.
• Previous correctional care a plus
