Description

The ideal candidate has experience in managing a bank branch to include opening client accounts, managing the branch team as well as meeting Loan Production and Deposit Growth goals. 


Position Summary:
The Team Leader will be accountable for financial performance of the Branch, customer satisfaction, and adherence to branch policies and procedures.  The Team Leader will contribute to the bank's deposit growth strategies and goals; generates additional revenue from the sale of cash management products and services. 

Compensation is commensurate to experience and incentive opportunities are based on meeting Loan Production and Deposit Growth goals.  This position will require in-office oversight of the branch team located at our new Beaufort, SC location.  This position is requires full-time hours Monday through Friday at the branch location.  This is not a remote position.  Additional after hours and non-bank hours will be required for Community outreach and networking.

Essential Functions: *

  1. Responsible for the team’s generation of profitable portfolio earning assets (loans), liabilities (deposits) and other banking services or line of business referrals at levels that meet the overall objectives of the bank and market.
  2. Provides leadership in establishing, implementing, monitoring, and achieving the annual business plan for the market area.   
  3. Responsible for developing the deposit base of the market to maximize the bank’s presence and increase overall deposit market share.    
  4. Manages the employees of the Branch, oversees Branch Operations and adheres to defined policies, procedures and guidelines.   
  5. Involved in the training and professional development of the team to enhance overall performance of the Branch.   
  6. Provides leadership on establishing and achieving the individual and branch annual goals consistent with the stated mission of the bank.
  7. Originates loans, acting within approved loan limits and guidelines approved by the Board of Directors of the Bank.   
  8. Works closely with the credit team, when appropriate, to monitor quality of the individual and Branch loan portfolio.     
  9. Plays an active role in promoting the Bank to include planning and hosting events at the Branch.   
  10. Responsible for identifying, analyzing, selling and supporting cash management products and services to established business customers and targeted prospective corporate clients.     
  11. Provides leadership in the implementation and maintenance of an effective CRA Program.   
  12. Participates actively in community and civic duties to create a positive public perception of the Bank and to effectively determine the credit needs of the community.     
  13. Manages the expenses of the Branch and ensures the operating efficiency of the building and grounds.   
  14. Follow all other instructions and perform other job-related duties, at the discretion of the Regional President.

Qualifications


Preferred Education/Experience/Software:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 5-10 years of experience within the business, accounting or financial services industry is preferred.  Advanced coursework through banking accredited programs (AIB,ABA,etc.) is recommended.  Minimum of 10 years’ experience in branch operations, loan production, and credit administration is preferred.  The ability to cross sell bank products with an emphasis on relationship banking is required.  Knowledgeable in a wide range of Microsoft Office software applications.  


Training:
Responsible for the timely completion of all required compliance training such has BSA, Information Security, and other job specific training as assigned.


BSA Compliance:
Ensures branch staff comply with relevant Bank policies and procedures related to BSA, including accurate and timely capture of CTR data, review of parties against the OFAC list as relevant, and compliance with policies and procedures related to CIP, Beneficial Ownership, and Customer Due Diligence requirements.    


Additional Requirements:  
The responsibility to acquire and maintain the required knowledge of State and Federal Banking regulations and policies.  


Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Professional office environment. While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to operate standard office equipment.  The team member is frequently required to communicate and perceive.   The position is primarily stationary and not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and requires sedentary work such as exerting up to 10 pounds of force 5% of the time and a negligible amount of force approximately 95% of the time.
