Right-of-Way Data Entry Coordinator
Coates is seeking a Right of Way Data Entry Coordinator. This embedded position will report directly to our client’s office with no possibility of remote work. Computer literacy and technical skills are necessary for this position.
This position will be based in the downtown Houston office. Parking provided. No per diem.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The ability to handle a large volume of hand check, check request and wire submissions and process them in a timely manner in the client’s text system.
- Checks submissions for accuracy and completeness and work with field agents to correct any errors or gather additional information.
- Works with Project Manager on budgets
- Ensures that proper approvals are in place for payments.
- Coordinates with Business Partners – Vendor Maintenance to set up new vendors or make changes to existing vendors.
- Keeps separate up-to-date logs of all hand checks, check requests and wire requests that are submitted.
- Answers inquiries from Accounts Payable and Treasury.
- Performs research in SAP to determine payment status, confirm check encashment, when necessary, etc.
- Assists with administrative duties for Lease and Rental Analysts including making copies, scanning, filing and SAP data entry.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience working with OpenText a plus.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and dependability are a must.
- Should have the ability to process a high volume of hand check/check request submissions while still maintaining accuracy.
- Must display good judgment and be able to work independently, as needed.
- Needs to have strong MS Office skills and be comfortable with computers in general.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a high sense of urgency; Must be flexible, adaptable and have a high level of initiative.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in data entry.
- Previous ROW experience preferred but not required.
