What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Clinical Coordinator position at Colby-Sawyer College?
The Administrative Clinical Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that students in the School of Nursing & Health Sciences comply with all clinical requirements prior to registering for a clinical nursing course. This position will create and maintain accurate records as well as communicate with faculty, clinical staff and nursing students directly regarding the status of compliance.
This is a 12-month, part-time, 20 hour per week position reporting to the Dean for the School of Nursing & Health Sciences.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that nursing students comply with all clinical requirements before registering for a clinical nursing course.
- Communicate with students, faculty and the clinical staff of the facilities to meet the clinical requirements.
- Ensure that faculty documents are available as required by the NH Board of Nursing and school’s accrediting body.
- Review all clinical requirements of students accepted to re-enter the program.
- Prepare a spreadsheet with each student’s report and inform the CNO and other key administrators of the status of compliance one month before the student’s registration date.
- Submit the names of students who have cleared clinical requirements to the CNO before registration dates.
- Notify students whose documents are expiring.
- Follow up with students by email regarding requirements that need completion.
- Ensure that students applying to re-enter the nursing courses have completed/updated their requirements prior to registration.
- Meet with nursing academic/clinical program coordinators to inform/update students with clinical requirements.
- Complete and transmit students and faculty forms required by affiliated agencies before student clinical experience.
- Attend pre- and post-clinical affiliation meetings with affiliated facilities as required and maintain a record of proceedings of such meetings.
- Assist with creating individual faculty electronic tracker upon hire.
- Ensure all documents are uploaded.
- Maintain a hard copy of Official Transcript in secured file.
- Approve documents according to BON/accreditation guidelines.
- Monitor on-going document compliance.
- Communicate with faculty regarding required document renewals.
- Generate reports as requested.
