The crisis counseling and social work team at Coleman is part of a robust system of community partners who help our clients resolve mental health crises and assist with mental health care coordination, to ensure the best outcome. Job Duties of Youth Mobile Crisis Counselor (MRSS) (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW) Include:

• Complete telephone crisis de-escalation, screening and triage to determine the needs of individuals and families calling through the crisis hotline.
• Provide trauma-informed de-escalation, risk assessment, brief intervention, psychoeducation, and linkage to community resources for youth up to age 21 and their families.
• Travel throughout Portage County to provide crisis assessment and intervention in the community.
• Maintain a collaborative relationship within community referral sources, child serving organizations and community stakeholders.

Qualifications of Youth Mobile Crisis Counselor (MRSS) (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW) Include:

• Bachelors or Master’s prepared with an active Ohio License (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW) or higher
• Willing to obtain NPI and Medicaid Provider number (we’ll help!)
• Must be able to work flexible shifts with weekend and holiday rotation
• Excellent driving record

Preference given to the following candidates:

• Past or current work experience in an emergency room, community behavioral health or crisis intervention setting
• Past or current experience in motivation interviewing, crisis intervention and trauma informed care.
