Mason School of Business at William & Mary and develops, plans, and executes the School’s marketing, communications, and public relations efforts in alignment with the School’s and the University’s strategic plans and branding initiatives. The goal of these efforts is to enhance the School’s global reputation and stature through leading-edge content, creative direction, media relations, digital marketing, data, and analytics to spark engagement across a wide variety of constituents.The Chief Marketing & Communications Officer leads the multifunctional Marketing & Communications (MarCom) department, supervising a staff of four professionals with core areas of responsibility in marketing and branding, public relations and communications, video production, and web development.This role develops and executes communications and marketing plans that drive interest and enrollments into residential and online degree and non-degree programs. The Chief Marketing & Communications Officer liaises with external marketing and admissions vendors to integrate marketing and communications efforts, defines and monitors key performance indicators, and manages certain contracts.The Chief Marketing & Communications Officer reports to the Dean and works closely with the Dean’s Leadership Team to build connections with William & Mary on shared communication and marketing where goals, priorities, and initiatives overlap.Key Responsibilities Include : Provide strategic direction, implementation, and oversight to marketing and communications staff, external consultants, and internal / external partners tasked with implementing marketing programs and elevating the school brand.Define and promote the school’s brand identity, positioning, and messaging.Develop and execute fully integrated marketing and communications strategies.Oversee the development of a Mason School of Business communications strategy.Oversee the ongoing maintenance and optimization of Mason’s web presence.Guide technical systems integration for departmental systems.Prepare, administer, and manage the Mason School of Business marketing and media budget.Conditions of Employment Position may require work hours beyond a typical work day or work week to include evenings, nights, and weekends.Essential Designation : NoFLSA : ExemptPosition Restricted?
