Job Description

Position Purpose:

As a member of CollegeSource, Inc. (CSI), a successful Quality Assurance Specialist will develop processes and procedures within the software development lifecycle and perform quality assurance testing for our entire suite of products.

Essential Functions:

Essential functions are the basic job duties that must be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation. In determining essential functions, the company has considered the time needed to perform a particular duty and the consequences of failing to require an employee to perform a particular duty.

  • Create and review test conditions and/or scenarios
  • Work closely with the other members of the development team to review the designs of systems, implement test scenarios, and test the quality of software products
  • Execute black box, white box and grey box tests for web and client server applications
  • Test web applications for accessibility standards compliance
  • Coordinate and execute feature tests and regression tests for product releases
  • Work with functional experts or clients to recreate production issues in production to our test environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Competencies/Traits Required to Perform the Job:

  • Must be able to be seated, on video calls, and work on a computer 90% of the time
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience with CollegeSource, Inc. products (uAchieve preferred)
  • Experience evaluating sites against web accessibility standards (i.e., WCAG)
  • Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management preferred
