A SNAPSHOT OF THE ROLE:
As either a full or part-time Optometrist at Collins Vision, providers must have ability to perform efficiently in a high-volume setting while still maintaining a strong passion for providing excellent personalized eye care that aligns with the company’s mission, vision and values. Ideal candidate must have strong experience in comprehensive eye care including diagnosing and managing eye disease including dry eye, prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, and providing post operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery including refractive cataract surgery, LASIK, and various oculoplastic procedures.
**This position requires travel to all our offices in - Naples, Fort Myers and Punta Gorda.**

WHAT POWERS YOUR SUCCESS:
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from an accredited program (required)
- State Licensed or eligible for State licensure (required)
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Optometrist
- Knowledge of Co-Managing patients (not required but a plus)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for patient care and delivering an excellent patient experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Willingness to travel to all our SWFL locations as necessary
- Perform comprehensive eye exams to diagnose vision conditions and eye diseases.
- Educate patients on proper eye care, including preventative measures and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage and co-manage patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using our electronic health system.
- Learn and maintain proficiency in our electronic health record system, Modernizing Medicine (Mod Med).
- Stay up to date on advancements in optometry and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Provide a full range of optometry services customarily provided by an Optometrist to clinic patients.
