HHR Technician - $20/HR

Responsible for monitoring performance of electronic gaming devices, activity, and conditions of gaming areas, ensuring all HHR machines are operable and in good repair.

1.    Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests. Demonstrates #AddLife culture in all interactions with guests and co-workers.

2.    Responsible for fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.

3.    Maintains complete confidentiality of all company information at all times.

4.    Ensures compliance with approved procedures for the HHR areas in a professional manner.

5.    Maintains the electronic components, systems, and peripherals of gaming machines.

6.    Repairs and modifies components, electric systems and peripherals of the gaming machines and kiosks.

7.    Configures HHR machines to meet manufacturers’ and regulatory agency specifications.

8.    Removes, moves, installs and/or upgrades HHR machines.

9.    Maintains an inventory of parts for the HHR machines.

10.    Monitors and tracks the HHR machine malfunctions, the cause, the repair, and the parts involved.

11.    Tracks and records all test money usage and testing results.

12.    Protects company assets by adhering to company policies and all state and regulatory compliance to include Internal Controls Policies and Procedures and the Responsible Gaming Plan.

13.    Notifies shift supervisor of irregularities in customers’ play.

14.    Maintains a clean and safe environment. Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.

15.    Effectively handles customer concerns and requests.

16.    Acts in the capacity of other positions on an as needed basis.

17.    Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.

18.    Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.

19.    Other duties as assigned.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities: In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.

•    Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
•    Obtain and retain required license(s).
•    Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
•    Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
•    Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.
•    Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
•    Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.

Position Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED certificate required; Associates degree in electronics or related field preferred. Minimum two (2) years’ experience as an HHR Technician / Bench Technician with A Certification preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Must have excellent PC skills and a working knowledge of word processors and spread sheets. Ability to work in an environment exposed to secondhand smoke, moderate to loud noise levels and varied light levels including flashing lights.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License
