About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Express Meeting Manager to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for securing and planning short-term group business (up to 30 rooms per night, arriving within 90 days) for Colonial Williamsburg Resorts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Actively solicit and secure new and repeat group business, focusing on short-term opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners and decision-makers.
- Conduct site inspections and present compelling proposals.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals for room nights and revenue.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies for target markets.
- Meeting Planning & Execution:
- Manage all aspects of conference planning, including room block management, BEO preparation, and onsite support for meeting planners.
- Ensure smooth and successful execution of all group programs.
- Liaise with internal departments to guarantee exceptional guest experiences.
- Market & Product Knowledge:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of various market segments (corporate, association, etc.).
- Effectively market and sell the entire resort experience, including guestrooms, dining, golf, spa, and historic area attractions.
- Understand the profitability of group business and contribute to revenue maximization.
- Customer Service & Relationship Building:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with meeting planners.
- Proactively identify and address client needs.
Administration & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies.
- Professional Development:
- Continuously enhance professional skills through industry training, education, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in hotel sales or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the meetings and events industry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
