Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, provide athletic training services to student athletes engaged in various school sports; organize and participate in program care, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of physical injuries to athletes in the athletic program; perform related duties as assigned. Education and Experience:
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in health education, physical education, sports medicine, or a related field. A Bachelor's or Master's degree from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Certification (CAATE) college or university is preferred.
Experience: One (1) year of experience as an athletic trainer.
Any combination of training and/or experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and/or abilities may be considered.
Other: Bilingual/Spanish desired.
Licenses and Other Requirements:
-Valid Athletic Trainer (AT) Certification issues by the Board of Certification (BOC) for the Athletic Trainer of the National Athletic Trainers Association must be maintained as a condition of employment.
-Valid First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
-Valid California Class C driver's license.
-Position requires the use of a personal automobile.
