SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, COO the Divisional Manager of Programs and Employment/Student Services will oversee all program operations and financial responsibilities of CI Employment Services (CIES), Student Services, and Empowerment Place.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides supervision, management, mentoring, training, and evaluation of Employment & Student Services and Empowerment Place personnel.
- Responsible for developing departmental Budgets, Profit and Loss accountability, and the billing procurement for the business unit.
- Responsible for the integrity and ethics of all client programs.
- Responsible for maintaining CARF accreditation.
- Ensure that appropriate leadership understands the programs/contract demands.
- Actively seek opportunities to grow existing programs, departments, opportunities for persons with barriers, partnering businesses, and clients served.
- Responsible for government interface, school district interface, client training and development, client placement services, and assisting in other key areas working with other leadership team members.
- Actively participate in State industry associations (Community Employment Alliance) and in regional groups working to advance related mission endeavors as appropriate.
- Develop, with the assistance of the Director of Advancement and Philanthropy Officer, grants that will assist with the funding of the departments.
- Review and process billing. Provide the Accounting Department with timely billings, purchasing, and payroll data. Review and process staff time sheets.
- Manage conflict resolution for staff and/or clients.
- Prepare monthly department reports.
- Maintain positive relations with other CRP’s, our business partners, funding sources, parents, families, guardians, and care providers.
- Prepare and give staff performance appraisals.
- Prepare and maintain files for CARF, DVR, and County Human Services audits. Work with the CFO in providing information to auditors for the program portion of audits.
- Provide a productive and safe work environment by ensuring departments are following all safety standards.
- Construct and perform customer service surveys and take corrective action when necessary to ensure everyone in the department is giving excellent service to our clients.
- Communicate effectively with other Columbia Industries staff and clientele.
- Observe and comply with participant client and agency confidentiality policies. observe and comply with agency safety programs and procedures.
- Be able to step into the role of Employment Specialist and perform essential functions of the position whenever necessary.
- Assist in preparing documents for all department-related audits.
- Create and maintain process efficiencies.
- Maintain database and have awareness of software programs and improvement needs.
- Maintain or enhance established relationships and create new relationships in the community.
- In partnership with the Director of Advancement, ensure marketing and PR activities are regularly occurring to enhance community awareness of the program.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will supervise all CIES Employment Specialists and the Empowerment Place lead.
