Accountant – Cash

The World Equestrian Center, located in Ocala Florida is seeking an Accountant to join our team.

The Accountant will perform and manage the accounting for all cash funds receipts and payments, and bank reconciliations for the World Equestrian Center. The ideal candidate for this role will have an eye for attention to detail along with the ability and drive to do a complete and comprehensive analysis of every bank transaction.

Primary Responsibilities

• Complete bank reconciliation of all cash and funds related accounts.
• Preparing and distributing financial and bank details to the accounting team and business partners.
• Reconciling Balance Sheet Accounts with supporting documentation.
• Maintaining the integrity and consistency of the General Ledger to include balancing of all cash and A/R related accounts.
• Work directly with sales and accounting team to maintain and track all payments from customers and vendors.
• Initiative to automate and drive efficiencies in the bank reconciliation process and work with the team to automatically interface bank and general ledger transactions.
• Calculating, reviewing, and posting Journal Entries to include Standard, Reversal and Adjusting entries.
• Maintaining controlled access to company shared networks through third parties.
• Managing and executing the Accounting Continuous Improvement Process and Development plan.
• Performing all duties and special projects assigned by Controller, Director of Accounting and Chief Financial Officer.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills And Abilities

• Bachelor of Science degree with major or concentration in Accounting from an accredited university or equivalent of experience.
• Entry level position with 1 to 3 years of experience as an accountant preferred.
• Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems.
• Well-developed participatory teamwork and administrative skills.
• Well organized with strong analytical and reasoning abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills.
