We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Seattle and Portland teams. The Project Manager is an integral part of the Service Delivery team and is responsible for the successful delivery of professional services engagements to our clients. Your role is to be a facilitator of communication and to provide a world-class experience on all client engagements.

High-level responsibilities include assisting in managing engineering deliverables for pre-sales opportunities as well as overall project planning and execution. The position will work closely with the pre-sales team to track, build, and present engineering business proposals. Additionally, this position will also work with deployment teams to ensure the solution(s) are deployed per the Statement of Work or project plan. This role will have accountability and leadership for all status update reports to management and/or clientele. The role will have a core responsibility for managing both internal and external relationships and communicating with a wide range of project contributors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex technical projects consisting of numerous interdependent work tracks and spanning multiple business units
  • Management of a portfolio of projects within a customer and ensure proper communication and alignment with CompuNet resources
  • Accountable for managing client service delivery expectations and overall project narrative(s)
  • Sustain strong ongoing relationships with client, middle and senior management
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with project staff throughout the life cycle of the project
  • Effectively lead the project team to align with the business objectives, project schedule, and project budget
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks
  • Regularly communicate to management regarding the status of specific opportunities or project deliverables
  • Use sound judgement in escalation or de-escalation of team or customer conflict(s) and refer all performance issues to the appropriate leadership
  • Responsible for maintaining and reporting on project metrics for assigned projects
  • Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation.
  • Work with dispatch to create project and billing tickets when required
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 4 years project management experience
  • Four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT methods and all phases of project management
  • Knowledge and experience with project management tools (ex. MS Project or Smartsheets)
  • Ability to influence others and build strong partnerships
  • Team and service oriented
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking
  • Ability to deal with broad range of people
  • Ability to resolve conflicts
  • Travel is required up to 20%
  • Information technology and architecture experience (preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (preferred)

Skills/Abilities:

  • Listening, oral, written, and presentation skills and effective interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and planning and multitasking skills
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiation skills are required with a solid track record for developing internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrate ethics and values to generate high team trust
  • Must be familiar with the managing scope and project objectives as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the teams
