Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team,. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered, dried, and pressed to meet the high standards of cleanliness and presentation required in a hotel environment. This role is essential in maintaining the overall guest experience by providing fresh and clean items for their use. This position is monday through friday 9am start time.
Duties
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and garments according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Handle dry cleaning processes as needed, ensuring proper care of delicate fabrics.
- Adhere to safety protocols while using chemicals and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Skills
- Experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in laundering techniques including washing, drying, pressing, and folding.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality results.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
