Cyber Security Staff Engineer The Technology function at CBA is responsible for the world leading application of technology across every aspect of CommBank to ensure the highest levels of customer service through world-class process excellence and technology innovation. Do Work that Matters The Group Security function within the bank works to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and services within the Bank. Your team would be involved in assisting internal customers that maintain Cyber Protective Controls (any core security functions of the bank) and automating their processes to reduce the risk of human error, and delivery better security outcomes to our customers. Overall, you will be required to: Utilise strong understanding of core business and technical strategies to deliver best business outcomes through technical implementation. Develop the technical strategy, overseeing medium to complex engineering initiatives. Create designs and solutions that can be leveraged by the broader team to implement product or technology strategies. Proactively identify risks to achieving timely delivery, effectively communicating and adjusting plans to achieve goals. Mentor and up-skill other engineering teams across different squads. Define project stretch goals and success measures, holding the squad accountable. Communicate the security engineering vision in a way that inspires across the Group. Independently complete design and threat modelling. Drive the development of strategic programs of work, including proof of concept developments. Contribute to internal online discussions around security engineering, delivery and technology (for example blog posts and knowledge based articles). We’re interested in hearing from people who possess advanced skills in: Experience in designing and delivery of services and solutions consumed by multiple teams across a business Building secure and sustainable software solutions with clearly defined developer guidelines. Integrating solutions across a wide-array of business applications. The ability to break larger projects into clearly defined tasks, and delegate those tasks throughout the team. A learning mindset, where you enjoy learning about new technologies and solutions.
