## Overview
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Program Director to oversee our program operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative program management, social work and budgeting, with experience in behavioral health and working with individuals that have mental illness, formerly homeless, impacted by chronic medical conditions, substance use, and criminal justice involvement.
## Duties
- Develop and implement program strategies to meet organizational goals
- Manage program budgets effectively and ensure financial sustainability
- Supervise program staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance program outcomes
- Oversee program development and evaluation processes;
- Ensures compliance with all pertinent/service program-operating regulations.
- Maintain administrative tasks related to program operations
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, partners, and community members
-To have full and complete knowledge of all government (Federal, State, City, Court, etc.) regulations relating to OMH CR/SRO & Dept. of Homeless Services (DHS) residences, and interpret regulations to staff of the program.
## Experience
- Proven experience in program management and development
- Strong background in social work or related field
- Ability to manage and lead teams effectively
- Clinical Experience working with individuals that have mental health and or homeless services background is a plus
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Strong supervisory experience, ability to supervise clinical services that include supervision of Case Managers, MICA Specialist, Recreation Therapist, maintenance of case notes, resident service plans, and other pertinent clinical documentation
- Experience with the intake process in an adult residential setting using program guidelines, accept intake packages, and refer program residents to appropriate housing.
- Schedule and conduct interviews, make recommendations on appropriate candidates.
- Administrative responsibilities, follow up on clients’ benefit, schedule Program’s meetings and other responsibilities as assigned by the Director.
- You will provide case management oversight and clinical services to an identified case load of 40(OMH)/38(DHS) individuals to include, maintenance case records/notes, consumer service care plans and all other pertinent clinical documentation.
- Maintain complete and accurate resident records per OMH & DSS and any other regulatory agency guidelines.
- Working hours shared at two locations in Bronx, New York - for the OMH CR/SRO & DSS CR/SRO programs. Close proximity of each other.
- *Flexible Hours (days/hours will vary based on agency and/or client needs) which may include evenings and/or weekends. This position may require availability outside of the standard work day and may need to direct and support staff by phone or in person if needed during the evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Preparation, coordination and participation in in-service training and group counseling sessions for clients, families and staff as needed.
- Ensure of the Facilitation of group meetings as identified and needed.
- Attendance/participation in citywide committees, representing CAHS, Inc. in a professional, prompt and punctual.
- Act as a liaison between CAHS, Inc. and other community-based organizations/services in the event of a critical and/or emergency incident.
- Notify Program Director/Chief Executive Officer in the event of a critical and/or emergency incident.
- Carry out any additional responsibilities as defined by the Program Director, Chief Executive Director, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
