We are looking for Pharmacy Director join our clinics. The Pharmacy Director works under the direction of the Medical Director and is responsible for the set-up, oversight and daily operations of the organization’s Pharmacy. Under minimal supervision, manages the operations of all pharmacies within each patient care facility. Develops and implements policies and procedures as well as supervises pharmacy staff. This position provides direction and advice to health professionals as a highly specialized practitioner. Pharmacy Director serves as a member of the management team.
Essential duties include but are not limited to:

Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.

Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients.

Directs pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals.

Counsels patients and/or medical practitioners on drug indications or contraindications, dosage and administration, drug interactions, and side effects; provides other drug and pharmaceutical information as appropriate.

Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.

Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost to maintain pharmacy files, charge system and inventory.

Assays medications to determine identity, purity and strength.

Instructs interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy.

Develops and implements systems to maintain records on equipment inventories, and compliance activities.

Oversees all facets of the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with Agency, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations.

Assists with the development and management of annual operating budget(s).

Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of the department.

Advises medical practitioners on various aspects of prescribing through meetings,
newsletters, and other forms of verbal and written communication. -
Assists with grant compliance activities, requirements and service goals.

Assists in representing Community Health Care in community-based health activities.

Assists in agency evaluation activities as requested.

Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
- Three to five years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- State of Washington Licensed Pharmacist; Must be credentialed.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in reporting and budgeting.
- Experience in community health clinic setting.
- Spanish bilingual capacity.
- Knowledge of Federal 330 and private grant requirements.
