Job Duties:
Qualifications: 21 years of age; be in full and sustained recovery from substance use for one year; have lived substance use experience; must be able to become a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist through a state certification; no felony conviction within last two years and pass DCFS and state police back ground checks. Valid driver's license required.
Responsibilities: (Training Provided)
Be willing to share your lived expertise to assist others in their recovery process
Provide support and advocacy to individuals in treatment services
Provide case management services to individuals in treatment services
Identify barriers to treatment and develop a plan to help reduce barriers
