What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Worker 2nd Shift position at Community Resource Center?
CRC is a non-for-profit community behavioral health organziation that operates two eight bed supervised residential programs for adults with Mental Illness.
Title: Community Support Specialist Residential Program
Classification: Part Time
Must pass all required background checks. To drive agency vehicles must have acceptable auto insurance.
Organizational structure: This position reports to the House Team Leader, Residential Program Coordinator, Clinical Director and ultimately the Agency Director.
Requirements
1. 21 Years old minimum
2. Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the community Resource Center's mission and philosophy.
3. Experience as a helping profession preferred, motivation to assist those with mental illness.
4. Capable of learning electronic health care records software.
5. Communicates well with co-workers for team approach and with those residents assigned.
6. Demonstrate proficiency in time management.
7. Demonstrates compassion and patience with residents.
8. Maintain confidentiality to comply with HIPAA standards for protected healthcare.
9. Attend all mandated training/supervision unless granted exclusion by the Residential Program Coordinator.
Essential Functions:
1. Teach daily living skills to clients.
2. Write encounter notes on staff/client interventions.
3. Sign tickets on computer within CRC's compliance standards timeframe.
4. Transport clients for daily living activities, such as shopping and medical visits. (once approved by CRC insurance provider)
5. Support clients as they engage with medical and professional personnel.
6. Follow CRC mental health crisis protocols.
7. Residential house cleaning and upkeep.
8. Participate in any training as assigned.
9. Treat all clients with dignity, respect and compassion.
10. All staff must remain awake and alert during entire assigned shifts.
Must comply with all medicaid billing guidelines and any purposeful deviation will be considered Medicaid Fraud.
Supervisory Controls: Required to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision. Consultation with Home's Team Leader is available as needed. Works closely with other Residential House Team Members.
Guidelines: Position is expected to follow all CRC policies and procedures as well as all local, state and federal laws. Position is also expected to adhere to and foster development of CRC core values of compassion, honesty, respect, responsibility, confidentiality and fairness.
Personal Relationships: Position will have daily contact with clients with mental health issues, other residential team members, CRC employees and members of the community. All interaction with clients has to be on a staff to client basis, no dual relationships will be allowed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: Position is performed in a busy residential environment with frequent distractions and interruptions. Travel to other CRC offices may be required as meeting/training is assigned.
