Manager of Clinical Services - Peer Support
This position will oversee CompDrug’s Peer Recovery Supporters, individuals who have lived experience with behavioral health challenges or individuals who have navigated services on behalf of someone with behavioral health challenges. The Peer Recovery Supporters will be paired with newly admitted patients to mentor and support them during their initial 90 days of treatment at CompDrug. The individual in this position plays a critical role in the implementation, stability and growth of the organization’s Peer Recovery efforts. An important component of this position includes regular meetings with the Chief Clinical Officer to review and discuss program implementation and progress, as well as any unique interpersonal issues that may arise among Peer Supporters or between Peer Supporters and patients.

- Peer Recovery Support
- Manages the Peer Recovery Supporter Team, including regular individual supervision sessions.
- Models and ensures a trauma-informed, empathetic environment for patients.
- Develops guidelines establishing the boundaries between the roles of peer and patient. Adheres to and models the established guidelines.
- Develops departmental processes and metrics.
- Ensures departmental processes and procedures are documented and followed consistently.
- Fosters communication and collaboration across departments.
- Serves as the escalation point and supports and facilitates problem solving and de-escalation
- Represents Peer Recovery Support to the Operations team
- Manages the Peer Recovery Supporters Provides direction and on-going feedback
- Fosters professional growth and development
- Supports team members in problem solving and conflict resolution
- Actively participates in the recruitment process for the team
- Establishes and manages the Peer Recovery Supporter schedule

- Previous experience working in behavioral health care or other environment serving a vulnerable population
- Experience supervising a team, experience supervising Peer Mentors or supervising in the behavioral healthcare environment a plus
- Strong belief in recovery and the importance of incorporating lived experience into the treatment experience
- Cumulative two years' experience working as Peer Recovery Supporter and completion of Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter training. Or holds one of the following credentials: LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, LDCD II, LCDC III, LICDC, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, LMFT, or LIMFT and completes 16 hours of online learning and the 4 hour supervising peers training within 90 days of employment.
Work Arrangements/Schedule:
Essential Staff
Full Time – 40 hours per week 70% Core Work Hours
On-site Schedule/Core Work Hours: Monday – Friday 7 am – 3 pm
Saturday 5:45 am – 9:30 am (occasional as needed)
