Description
Role and Responsibilities
- Complete initial History & Physical Assessment and Vitals.
- Order and maintain clinic supplies
- Knowledge and delivery of detox protocols.
- Complete COWS and CIWA scales with appropriate clients per protocol and provides data to APRN.
- Provide medication education to clients.
- Coordinate and support medical providers with assessments and medication management.
- Complete prior authorization forms for Insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare recipients.
- Aid with all patients.
- Complete all treatment plan addendums and updates and assist with discharge planning for clients under MD only care.
- Maintain medical equipment in proper working order; maintain confidentiality and proper boundaries.
- Participating in staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) with unrestricted license in Kentucky and a minimum of 3 years SUD, Psychiatric or MOUD experience preferred.
Special Requirements
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
