Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Staff Accountant-Biller to join our Finance team in downtown Tacoma, WA.

Function: Responsible for providing medical billing, project/contract billing, fiscal administrative analysis and support for the agency Finance Department. Serves as a member of the organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and/or provide backup for agency’s billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- May assist and prepare agency filings.
- Review, prepare and assemble cash receipts and bank deposits.
- Assist in designing, developing, preparing, implementing and managing required financial reports and accounting systems to facilitate accounting functions.
- Compile information, create and maintain reports required by management, Board of Directors and funding sources.
- Prepare and analyze financial data to assist management in preparing reports required by Board of Directors, funding sources and auditors.
- Assist in preparation of monthly general ledger accounts reconciliation.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the general ledger.
- Perform special projects and /or assignments as directed by Accounting Manager/CFO.
- Coordinate with other staff as needed to facilitate accounting functions.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or special certifications for medical billing.
- Demonstrated experience in MS office, database management, and electronic health records. Must be able to create and utilize spreadsheets to include use of formulas.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong analytical, teaming, written, and verbal communication skills.
