Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified SUDP Case Manager to join our team in downtown Tacoma, WA.

Function: Provide outreach and long-term intensive case management and chemical dependency support to consumers with severe, persistent mental illness. Provide targeted skills training in the areas of community living. Provide treatment and specialized case management to clients with identified substance use disorders.
The Program for Assertive Community Treatment is an evidence-based model of team-based care, comprised of Mental Health Professionals, Case Managers, Nursing, Peers, Psychiatric ARNP’s, and Vocational Counseling.

Responsibilities:
- Provide both case management and psychiatric rehabilitation services, including, but not limited to assisting consumers with paperwork, self-care, advocacy, and resource acquisition.
- Use Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral therapy in interacting with consumers.
- Conduct initial and ongoing, comprehensive chemical dependency assessments when needed.
- Provide support for chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders in the community.
- Provide psychoeducation around substance use disorders to clients and their natural supports.
- Provide clinical case coordination working within a multi-disciplinary team for consumers.
- Provide group therapy as defined by program needs.
- Complete paperwork in a timely manner.
- Keep records up-to-date and comply with WAC, Title XIX and agency requirements.
- Coordinate services with other program staff, other consultants, relevant agencies, and individuals, e.g. DOC, hospitals, Congregate Care Facilities etc....)
- Attend treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and designated staff training and consultation sessions.
- Attend SUDP/T consult and other trainings through University of Washington PACT echo clinics.
- Monitor the rotating off-hours crisis phone to support clients and their natural support.
- Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
- In addition to the above, perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Substance Use Disorder Credential or Trainee.
- WA State credential/license. Both Agency Affiliated and Substance Use Disorder Professional License (SUDP) required.
- Experience or willingness to learn, how to work with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness including psychotic disorders and/or substance abusing individuals in the community.
- Training or experience with IDDT (Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment) preferred but not required.
- Must be familiar with and willing to work within a harm reduction model.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
- Valid Washington State driver’s license; proof of insurance.
