Senior Software Engineer - Remote CPS Solutions, LLC Home based / remote Description : As a full-time, exempt Senior Software EngineerwithCPS Solutions IT team, you will design, development,and maintain software applications for CPS. Key responsibilities include working with a team of individuals to identify the goals of the software, crafting detail system design and technical implementation plans, and makingsubstantial hands-on code contribution towards project delivery. This also includes participating in technical standards and guidelines for engineering teams,reviewing code that other engineers have written to ensure quality, and researching the most up-to-date techniques in software design. In addition, the SeniorSoftware Engineer spends time communicating progress on software development to other engineers, project managers, business analysts,and product managers, and senior leaders in IT and business. He or she must be able to discuss implementation in terms and conditions that the individual less familiar with software development can understand. Also, identify product requirements and limitations to ensure system function; confer with users, sponsors and stakeholders to identify their vision and needs; design a software or group of software that meet client's needs Salary Range : Salary range of $130,000-$160,000 depending on experience plus bonus potential Schedule : This position will work a minimum of40 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday; with some evening or weekend hours based upon business needs. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in lieu of degree, extensive related work experience and education in a computer science related field 5 years of enterprise grade external customer facing SaaS software development and lifecycle management experience Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as Angular, jQuery and other JavaScript frameworks Deep knowledge and development fluency of server-side development with C# Net or Java Expertise with DBMS technology, including SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached and Varnish Solid experience with agile practices, unit testing frameworks, CI / CD development flow, and leveraging wide-ranging cloud infra and services Demonstrated ability working with Business groups defining requirements, and project goals. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) with internal and external clients RESPONSIBILITIES : Scope out designs of new applications and enhancements to existing products for internal and external users at CPS. Produce estimated project start and completion dates to management and users. Develop and maintain custom applications for CPS departments and back-end operations. Applications will be based upon existing or new technologies to produce the quickest turnaround, stable platform and easiest process for users. Use a change control process for making changes and execute testing on application before rolling into production. Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for internal users, external clients. Work with departments on refining their output needs to reduce time and cost and assist with the distribution of the reports. Provide on-going technical support to users on how applications operate, resolving coding issues and better ways to do an action in supported custom applications. Produce training materials, system documentation, and conduct training classes for end users on our system and applications. Review new technologies and products to further enhance or streamline business operations. Based upon the review of these technologies recommendations on how the product could be used and cost benefits would be presented to the Director of Information Systems. Perform other relevant duties as assigned by management.
