Job Description: Truck Driver

Job Summary:

This position performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts and materials. Responsibilities include but are not limited to verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Operates a truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.

· Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.

· Load and unload truck for deliveries.

· Proper knowledge of securing deliveries.

· Keep and understand logbook.

· Be able to handle warehouse duties when not on delivery run.

· Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.

· Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing slip.

· Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items. Appropriately report/record and discrepancies.

· Accurately place materials on shelves, in racks, or other designated storage areas in and orderly manner.

· Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers.

· Review all orders to determine if they were pick correctly.

· Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

· Must have valid and current driver’s license & a CDL A

· Clean driving record

· Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and or state department of transportation regulations.

· Shipping and Receiving procedures

· Ability to read and write

· Excellent follow-up skills

· Detail oriented

· Dependable

· Organized

Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· 1-2 years’ experience in driving

· Must hold required commercial driver’s license (A) appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time.

· Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time.

· Must be able to travel frequently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
