Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

Concordia Early Childhood Center, Eau Claire, WI

Job Summary:

Concordia ECC is seeking a full time Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. This individual will incorporate and teach age-appropriate activities in accordance with the Wisconsin Model Early Standards. The teacher we are seeking will have a loving and caring demeanor, and a willingness to share the gospel through, stories, play, and prayer.

Qualifications

• Have a love of children, and be able to identify and relate to their individual needs and responsibilities
• Have a love of God
• A High School diploma or equivalent
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Set schedule, same every week.
• Is registered with The Registry, or willing to register
• Displays positive communication skills with children, parents, and staff
• Must pass a background check

Plan, implement, and supervise age-appropriate activities designed to promote creative, intellectual, physical, and spiritual growth

Work with lead teacher to develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime

Establish and maintain positive relationships with both students and adults

Assist the center director with recordkeeping required by licensure

Maintain the health and safety of all students

Collaborate with other staff to maintain records on each child’s growth and development

Assist in maintaining a fun, clean, and orderly environment ensuring health and safety

Register and complete continuing education sessions to meet Wisconsin Licensing Standards

Document and notify the center director, parents, and licensing of accidents or abuse.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Caregiving: 2 years (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• Registry certificate (Preferred)
