Direct Support Professional
Job Description:
The role of the Direct Support Professional is to be a caregiver for our individuals and assist them in their daily activities and to integrate/engage in their community.
Schedule & Location:
· Both AM and PM Shift available at Simpsonville, SC.
· AM Shift: 6 am TO 6 pm; PM Shift: 6 pm to 6 AM
· Rotating Schedule – you work only 7 days out of 14!
Job Duties:
· Assist individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene and medication administration.
- Accompanying individuals on outings and activities.
- Continually remain active, alert and able to respond to all scenarios.
- Utilize various verbal and physical behavioral interventions.
- Document behaviors, activities, and incidents.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including operations, clinical and medical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans for our individuals.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
· High school diploma or GED
· Must be 21 years of age.
· Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB test.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Possess Patience, excellent communication.
· Basic computer skills
