Job Responsibilities:
- Direct and assist Heavy Equipment Operators (HEO) with safe and precise maneuvering of machinery.
- Monitor equipment and drivers on-site to ensure safety protocols and operational efficiency are followed.
- Provide real-time communication and guidance to operators and drivers during operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards or equipment issues.
- Maintain a high level of observation and awareness to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Strong construction background with experience working on active job sites.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operations and construction machinery.
- Exceptional observation and situational awareness skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for equipment handling.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience as an equipment spotter or similar role.
- Certification in construction safety standards (e.g., OSHA).
- Understanding of basic construction site layouts and workflows.
