The Sales Associate will play a pivotal role in our growth strategy by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, growing a base of existing customers, and reactivating dormant accounts. Serving as the first point of contact for prospective and existing customers, the Sales Associate will represent our brand and lay the foundation for long-term partnerships, contributing to growth and customer success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prospect Identification: Conduct research to identify and qualify prospective customers using various tools, including CRM, LinkedIn, Zoominfo and other sales platforms.
- Lead Generation: Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to fill the sales pipeline with qualified leads.
- Nurture Relationships: Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, providing initial education on our products and services to align solutions with their needs.
- Account Management: Actively manage and engage with existing customers to understand their needs, build relationships, and identify opportunities for growth and expanded service offerings.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activity to understand customer needs and offer relevant solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Marketing team to develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns, sharing insights that will refine our approach to prospective customer engagement.
- Data Management: Update and maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, activities, and lead status in CRM to ensure transparency and continuity across the sales process.
- Pipeline Optimization: Consistently monitor and adjust strategies to ensure the pipeline supports Majestic Steel’s sales objectives and growth goals.
- Other job-related duties as assigned
Education, Training and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Two (2) years of experience in a similar role (inside sales, lead generation, or customer service experience)
- Experience within manufacturing, distribution or related industry
- Technologically savvy with experience in MS Office products and Windows-based computer applications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage and build rapport quickly.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales prospecting tools.
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Analytical mindset, with an interest in learning about market dynamics and industry trends.
- Resilient, adaptable, and driven to meet and exceed individual and team KPIs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the steel or metals industry.
Additional
- Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively from a home office setting.
- Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed.
- Must be able to travel occasionally and work at an outside location; local and overnight travel, up to 30%
