JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Wireless Network Engineer to join our team and provide comprehensive support for wireless network infrastructure solutions. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining wireless systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance with industry standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, and implement enterprise Wi-Fi solutions.
- Deploy and troubleshoot wireless network infrastructures, including WLAN, LAN, WAN, DMZ, and Datacenter systems.
- Design, maintain, and support wireless systems such as:
- Cisco WLCs, Cisco Access Points, Client Appliance, and Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNAC/Prime).
- Juniper MIST Edge and Juniper Access Points.
- Conduct assessments and performance testing of Wi-Fi services, addressing issues and implementing enhancements.
- Collaborate with teams to implement changes, resolve technical issues, and modernize network technologies.
- Ensure network security protocols are followed to protect against threats and maintain compliance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and updates for operational efficiency.
- Ensure all designs and implementations meet security and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 9 years of experience in wireless network engineering or equivalent certifications/training.
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco technologies, including:
- Cisco WLCs, Access Points, and Cisco Catalyst Center.
- Experience with Juniper technologies, such as:
- Juniper MIST Edge, MIST Access Assurance, and Juniper Access Points.
- Strong skills in designing and troubleshooting wireless infrastructures.
- Solid understanding of Wi-Fi protocols, technologies, and standards.
- Knowledge of network tools and services (Radius, DNS, NTP, SYSLOG, SSH).
- Experience with TCP/IP subnetting and network security standards.
- Proficiency with documentation tools like Microsoft Visio for network topology.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP Wireless) or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Background in Banking/Finance sector networking environments.
