Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Zookeeper Optimization Consultant with over 10 years of experience in managing and optimizing Apache Zookeeper in large-scale production environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in performance optimization, resiliency enhancement, and distributed systems design, with strong technical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and optimize Zookeeper performance by addressing bottlenecks, tuning latency, throughput, and JVM parameters.
- Design and implement fault-tolerant, disaster recovery solutions, including multi-region and multi-data center deployments.
- Configure quorum consistency and failover mechanisms for resiliency.
- Monitor Zookeeper health using tools like Prometheus and Grafana and create custom alerts for potential issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams for capacity planning and integration with services like Kafka.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of hands-on experience managing Apache Zookeeper in production at scale.
- Familiarity with related technologies such as Apache Kafka, HDFS, and Spark.
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
Preferred:
- Certifications in distributed systems or DevOps practices.
