We are hiring for a dedicated company seeking a Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift The

position involves performing a wide variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance work of a skilled and complex nature.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing operations by installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of manufacturing equipment and plant facilities.

This work is essential for the satisfactory operation of equipment and processes, and the role demands a moderately physical presence due to the nature of the tasks involved.

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical, electrical / electronic, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties.

This requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. The candidate must determine effective repair procedures and implement those repairs in a timely manner to prevent recurrence of the same issues.

This proactive approach is vital to maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.

A key aspect of the role involves navigating and interpreting ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software.

This skill set is critical for troubleshooting equipment faults and ensuring that all systems are functioning properly. Candidates should have a solid understanding of PLC programming and the ability to modify existing programs as necessary to enhance performance.

Experience with ABB robots is also essential, specifically with models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700. The candidate will need to modify positions and diagnose problems with these robotic systems to ensure seamless integration with manufacturing processes.

Furthermore, the role requires the candidate to install, move, and align both new and existing equipment, demonstrating a hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude.

In addition to the above responsibilities, the candidate will be expected to set up and operate various types of machine shop equipment with a moderate degree of accuracy and efficiency.

Proficiency in both gas and electric welding operations is also required, as these skills are necessary for completing repairs and modifications to equipment and structures within the facility.

MUST HAVE :

• Candidates must demonstrate the ability to apply principles acquired through technical or vocational subjects, such as certificates or some college courses.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in key areas, including Allen Bradley systems, hydraulic systems, robotics, and welding, is required.
• This experience should include a strong background in troubleshooting die casting machine cells, utilizing PLCs, and interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics effectively.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

The manager is looking to hire for this position, indicating a strong preference for candidates who are ready to commit long-term.

The compensation package will be commensurate with the candidate’s skill set and experience. Additionally, a sign-on bonus is available, effective upon hire or conversion, contingent upon the signing of a promissory note for a duration of one year.

The tentative shift start time is 3 : 00 PM, with a tentative shift end time of 11 : 00 PM. Flexibility and a willingness to take on responsibilities during these hours are essential, as the candidate will be critical to the operational success of the manufacturing team.
