The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of business performance, as well as thorough and robust financial forecasts. This is a highly visible position and serves as a key resource to operations leadership and physician practice decision-makers in the business. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical ability, pragmatism, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. In this role you will be responsible for the execution of various tasks within the FP&A function in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws and regulations. You will meet with physician practice leaders and operations regularly to discuss performance, review potential opportunities for growth and provide feedback in initiatives to reduce expenses of the medical group. You will participate in the preparation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and other ad hoc analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepare and present the practice level monthly and annual financial reports and performance exhibits to Finance leadership.
  • Build and maintain analysis exhibits, including the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new practices and physicians, etc.
  • Support the day to day efforts to build and improve the annual budgeting process as well as point-in-time forecast models, including model inputs and methodology improvements.
  • Other various Ad Hoc analysis and responsibilities as they arise.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications or Education, Training and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or similar positions.
  • Direct FP&A experience with budgets, cash flow forecasting, decision scenarios and financial modeling.
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills (Excel, MS Office suite, etc.).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience as user and oversight of enterprise-level ERP and accounting software (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle Financials, Lawson, MS Great Plains, Sage MIP, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work independently, at times.
  • Experience with business intelligence platforms (Adaptive, Hyperion, Crystal Reports, Cognos, Tableau, or similar) preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the medical practice or health system reporting strongly preferred.

  • Must be highly self-motivated, decisive and accountable for work output and deliverables
  • Strong analytical and business acumen skills

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move between 10 and 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee may need to travel to healthcare practices.
