What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Processing Manager position at Consolidated Analytics?
The Front-Line Mortgage Origination Processing Manager is responsible for the management of Front-Line Mortgage Origination Processors performing on mortgage origination processing projects on FNMA Home Ready (CRA) and FHLMC Home Possible (CRA-driven) loan applications.
The primary responsibility of the person in this position is to lead, develop, execute, and maintain mortgage processing projects. They must ensure the projects meet all Client guidelines for the selection, auditing, and reporting of the processed results.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the Processing team to ensure results are met as outlined in Client Scope. Conduct ongoing analysis of processes in line with industry regulations. Collaborate with the Underwriting Manager.
- Communicate the status of processing project to upper management, produce and provide all reporting requirements to Clients. Audit Processors work for compliance, accuracy, and overall quality.
- Oversee tax returns and credit documents to determine readiness for loan approval or identification of risk, review reporting to target loans in the pipeline that need special attention.
- Generate documentation of existing processes and improvements, forecast expected results of process changes, analyze implemented changes and make further adjustments to workflow, schedules or other processes as required.
- Develop and design documents including training manuals, process outlines, flowcharts and implementation procedures.
- Reduce process errors, improve process results and reduce costs, evaluate loans for accuracy, completion, and compliance with government regulations.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee will view, have access to work with confidential financial data. The employee in this position must adhere to strict confidential policies and procedures.
- Respond and evaluate internal and external compliance audit finding and remediate audit conditions prior to filing submission to underwriting to confirm they meet requirements.
- Coordination as needed with client, borrower, closer, third parties, and settlement agent to ensure timely signing of documents, communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, and loan officers.
Required Experience:
- Direct experience managing mortgage origination application processors for the FNMA “Home Ready” Loan Program required
- Direct experience managing mortgage origination application processors for the FHLMC “Home Possible” Loan Program required
- Direct experience with CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) mortgage processing
- Minimum 3 years managing front-line CRA mortgage origination processors
- Minimum 3 years of experience of Empower (LOS) Loan Origination System preferred
- Must have prior experience working in the role of a Mortgage Origination Processor.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in mortgage origination processing.
- Be proficient in Excel and processing pipeline reporting, report and procedure writing skills.
- Ability to effectively facilitate meetings, develop management reports and to report out the monthly results to senior management.
- Ability to research, evaluate, and interpret results and to effectively communicate these to determine trends.
- Ability to interface confidently with clients and to influence others within the organization to drive results, and attention to detail.
