What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver position at Consumer Support Services, Inc.?
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Complete pre and post-trip assessment of vehicle before and after transportation to assure vehicle is in safe working condition.
2. Provide transportation services as outlined in the Individual’s Care Plan.
3. Obey all traffic laws to assure safe and legal transportation of everyone in the vehicle.
4. Assure all occupants in the vehicle are utilizing safety belts appropriately as well as assuring wheelchairs are safely secured using tie-downs during the transport.
5. Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle; operate ramp and lift as needed.
6. Assure all occupants have vacated the vehicle upon reaching final destination.
7. Participate in initial and ongoing training as required by agency, local and state regulations.
8. Participate in additional training as designated by the supervisor.
9. Communicate to supervisor any maintenance issues with the vehicle(s) and
communicate any safety concerns to the supervisor prior to use of the vehicle.
10. Keep the vehicle in a clean and safe manner.
11. Reads and interprets directions prior to travel to plan the most efficient and safe route.
12. Ability to recognize hazards during transport that requires the emergency response of the driver.
13. Assure proper documentation is completed to account for the presence of all individuals and vehicle mileage transported.
14. Adhere to all CSS Policy and Procedures.
15. Adhere to all safety standards set forth per regulatory agencies and CSS Policy and Procedure.
16. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Part-time
