Job Overview:
As a Mortgage Processor, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of mortgage loans. Your responsibilities will include reviewing loan applications, verifying income and credit, coordinating with lenders, and submitting loans for underwriting approval. We seek a hard-working, organized, professional individual who enjoys contributing to a team and thrives in a collaborative, in-office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Processing: Process mortgage loans by verifying income, running credit reports, calculating ratios, and collecting necessary documentation and conditions.
- Lender Coordination: Review lender guidelines, ensure the acceptability of loan applications, and coordinate with lenders throughout the process.
- Underwriting Submission: Submit loan files to underwriting for approval and ensure all conditions are met.
- Communication & Documentation: Prepare and mail out commitment letters, notices of incompleteness, or declinations.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate loan pipeline by documenting communication and tracking loan progress.
- Condition Management: Review and collect underwriting conditions, ensuring they are submitted promptly.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with loan officers and other team members to facilitate smooth and efficient loan processing.
Job Requirements:
Experience: 3-5 years of recent mortgage loan processing experience.
Skills:
- Quick learner with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Experience with DO (Desktop Originator) and LP (Loan Prospector) systems.
- Ability to review lender guidelines and manage conditions effectively.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be professional, motivated, and able to meet deadlines.
- In-office work required (no remote option).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
