We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the position of Cab Preparation. This description represents the most significant job duties but does not exclude other work duties assigned or required but not mentioned.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare part surfaces as specified to be contamination free
- Inspect parts prior to paint for needed repair, prepping and cleaning
- Mask parts and plug holes to print notes stating tight tolerances for overspray prevention
- Read and comprehend documents such as fabrication drawings, cutting orders, bills of material or other project plans, orders or specifications in the order
- Knowledge of and adherence to hazardous waste procedures, such as but not limited to, where to store, how to label and what to do in case of a spill
- Adhere to ISO procedures
- Report to supervisor on quality issues
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the prepping process
- Work effectively in a team environment

Authority
Employees are required to follow procedures, work instructions and operational processes. The potential consequences for non-compliance may result in an increased rejection rate at the Customer, increased internal scrap rate, delayed or late shipments, personal injury, and a negative impact on the environment.
All employees have the authority to stop production and contain nonconforming product. Significant quantities of nonconformances must be reported immediately to management.
This position requires no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in metal fabrication or parts manufacturing preferred
- Consistent, quality technique, dependable performance and skilled attention to detail
- Self-motivated individual that can perform with minimal supervision.
- Maintains a safe and clean work area.
- Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle.
Working Conditions / Environment
Fork lift usage will be about 25% of the work week.
This job operates in a manufacturing environment.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to loud noise, fumes and airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; may work with or around chemicals that create a hazardous exposure which is defined on the accessible Safety Data Sheets; employee is exposed to moderate temperature changes over an eight-hour shift.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
