Description
Quality Assurance Technicians are part of a dynamic residential retrofit team. You will work
closely with the Project Supervisor to support and train a team of retrofit installation
technicians. The primary role of this position will be to perform warranty calls on our installation
projects and report findings back to the installation teams to improve overall performance. You
are capable of troubleshooting and repairing all systems that we install to include: Heat Pumps,
Mini Split Systems, VRF Units, Variable Capacity Communicating Furnaces and more. Quality
Assurance Technicians report to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Job Duties:
• Provide technical support to Installation Teams
• On site Installation support and training
• Perform warranty calls
• Technical training will be brought back to the installation team to improve project labor
margins.
• There will never be more than one QA technician on the same job at the same time.
• QA technicians will be able to “stand alone” technically meaning that no one QA tech should
be guiding another by way of internal tech support.
• QA techs have all necessary tools and training to resolve problems quickly and correctly.
• Open calls should be resolved within (2) weeks.
• Team call volume maintained at 15 or less open calls.
Qualifications

and team members. You will be working in customers homes and will be required to respect
them and their property.
• Safety - Installation technicians are exposed to safety hazards throughout the day and will
respect those conditions by wearing appropriate provided PPE.
• Mechanical Aptitude - QA technicians will have strong mechanical fundamentals and be
comfortable working with machines and electrical components.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts and work in tight conditions such as attics and crawl
spaces at times.
• Work Ethic - Technicians will be expected to work efficiently while onsite. There will be times
where you will have minimal supervision and we expect you to make good use of your time.
• Humility - It is important in this role to “check” your ego. The goal is to support and train your
team and not humiliate or embarrass them for errors. We are a Team!
Prerequisites
• Minimum 5 years experience in service/installation
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a drug and background screening
• High School Diploma or GED
• Trade school graduate
• NATE Certification
• EPA certification
