What are the responsibilities and job description for the Library Page position at Coopersville Area District Library?
Coopersville Area District Library is seeking a dependable individual for part-time employment as a library page. Duties include:
1. putting returned books and materials back on the shelf in a specific manner,
2. emptying the recycling and trash,
3. emptying the book drop and checking in materials,
4. helping with the weeding of certain areas,
5. helping with shelf reading for misplaced library items,
6. being responsible for keeping the magazine section neat and tidy,
7. being a part of the cleaning rotation when the public is in the building, and
8. helping with library opening/closing procedures when on opening/closing shifts.
This position requires evening and weekend hours, beginning with 1-2 four hour evening shifts a week and 2-4 Saturday shifts a month. This position would start with a 4 hour shift once to twice a week and would expand to a weekend and one day a week shift during the summertime. The current schedule includes Mondays or Thursdays from 4-8.
Applicant must be enrolled in high school or have the equivalent of or have attained high school completion. For those still in school, a school-issued work permit may be required.

Compensation starts at $12/hr if 18 or over, likely increasing to 12.48/hr in February. For minors, compensation starts at $10.75.
