The Program Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial performance of major programs, ensuring that financial goals are met and that all financial aspects of the programs are managed effectively. This role involves financial planning, analysis, reporting, and control to support program management and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Program Finance Manager Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts for assigned programs.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation and management of program budgets.
- Monitor and control program expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Prepare regular financial reports, including variance analysis, program profitability, and financial status updates for senior management and program stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain effective cost control measures to optimize program financial performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend actions.
- Assess financial risks associated with program activities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with program managers, project teams, and other departments to ensure financial alignment and support program success.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial management and reporting efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
- 7 years of relevant experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Project accounting experience
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV (preferred)
- Knowledge of Government contracting (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal relationships with peers, senior management, and clients
