What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver Class B position at Cota & Cota, Inc.?
Our drivers are home every night and have a home / work life balance. Our delivery drivers work within a 150 mile radius and are not required to complete electronic log books. They are given the opportunity to delivery in their local neighborhoods and surrounding areas while having the ability to be home every night.
Cota & Cota is looking for drivers who would like to join a family owned company that has been in business for over 80 years and going strong. Ideally we would like applicants to have a CDL class B, however, we are willing to train and assist with individuals to get their CDL and endorsements.
Our full time (Monday – Friday) delivery driver position will keep you very busy during the colder weather delivering heating fuels. During non-peak times, we will cross train you for oil & propane tank installations, construction, landscaping and other miscellaneous work at one of our many locations. This job requires you to physically be out in all types of New England weather. Approximately once every 5-6 weeks, there is a mandatory rotating on-call schedule, for a week at a time to assist with any after hour deliveries. You will receive additional compensation for being on-call as well as paid for the time out on the call. There is also overtime available. Our drivers are guaranteed 40 hours a week, year round.

What are our requirements for you? You must be able to pass a pre-employment, post offer physical and DOT drug and alcohol test. You need to be 21 years of age, have a valid CDL class A or B license, a valid DOT medical card and the ability to clear TSA Hazmat Clearance. We would prefer you have hazmat and tanker endorsements, however we are willing to assist the right applicant with getting these. We would ask that you have high school diploma or equivalent. We also assist drivers with getting their propane license so you can deliver LPG.
