Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively. The Host/Host will also assist with seating arrangements and maintain the flow of service in our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
- Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems to track guest wait times and table availability.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.
- Support food service operations by assisting with take-out orders or other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for guest interactions.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing reservations and seating.
- A genuine desire to help others and provide exceptional guest services is crucial.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
