Rag Room Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible, local individual who can perform various tasks within our rag room and paper mill. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a team environment. Attendance and punctuality is required.

Duties

• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Operate basic hand tools and machinery as required for specific tasks.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time. Must keep accurate records.
• Chop and process a variety of materials, including fabric waste, hemp, pulp, cotton.
• Assist with varying tasks throughout the mill as the need arises.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on site.

Skills

• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Basic knowledge of industrial tools and equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to follow directions accurately and work independently when required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and a safe work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
