What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swimming Instructor position at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson?
We are seeking a certified and experienced swimming instructor to provide private swim lessons for a 4.5-year-old child at our hotel’s pool. The ideal candidate should have experience teaching young children, ensuring a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one swimming lessons tailored to a 4.5-year-old’s skill level.
- Ensure the child’s safety and confidence in the water at all times.
- Teach basic water skills, floating, and beginner strokes in a fun and encouraging manner.
- Use age-appropriate teaching techniques to build comfort and confidence in the pool.
- Monitor and assess progress, providing feedback to parents.
- Follow water safety protocols and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Certified swim instructor (WSI, Red Cross, or equivalent preferred).
- CPR and First Aid certified (required).
- Prior experience teaching young children (ages 3-6).
- Strong patience, communication, and teaching skills.
- Ability to create a fun and engaging learning experience.
- Must be reliable, professional, and punctual.
Schedule & Location:
- Lessons will take place at our hotel’s private pool.
- Flexible scheduling based on availability.
- Sessions typically last 30–45 minutes per lesson.
